Delicious oven potatoes with mushrooms

 

 

Two words:

This dish I like to serve  it with meat, chicken or fish.

It is fast and pretty simple but very tasty.   Serves 5 people.

 

Materials:

10 medium potatoes

500 gr  mushrooms (white)

2 large onions

2 large cloves garlic

½  cup of white wine (dry)

salt, pepper, oregano

1 tbsp. honey

1 lemon (juice)

 

Execution:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into 4 or 8 (depending on size). Wash thoroughly and cut

 the   mushrooms, Peel and cut the onions into thick strips . Peel and chop the garlic.

2. In a  bowl mix all the ingredients and season well. Add pepper and oregano.

3. In a small mixing  bowl just pour the wine,  add the honey, and a cup  of water, the lemon juice

and mix well until the honey is disolved. Pour this mixture into the bowl with the potatoes mix well

and just let it rest for 10 minutes  

4. Pour into a baking oven (spacious) and bake in preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for 1 1/2- to 2 hours.

In 1 hour, remove the pan and with a spatula mix carefully. If you feel that you need more liquid,

add a little more wine.

Secrets of success:

As you see i add water  carefully because the mushrooms have their own liquids.

I told you the pan to be spacious if we want the fries crispy outside and juicy inside,

because if they are the one on top of another , they become soft  like we boiled them. 

Some times I make this recipe and when I take out the baking pan in 1 hour I put on top and 

some beefburgers. Another time some chops or steak. If I do that I put them from the very beginning

because chops and steaks need more cooking time than burgers.
