Filet with mushrooms

 

 

Two words:

ThIs a quick and tasty dish.  For the filet you can use  chicken or Turkey  or pork or beef.

You do not have any  of the above? You can always use schnitzel

either pork or beef. Follow the same recipe and you'll have 

a very  tasty dish in about 45 minutes.

 

Materials:

2 chicken breasts (or Turkey or 4 fillets or pork, or beef)

½  cup olive oil (or  butter)

250 g sliced mushrooms

1 large onion chopped

2 cloves garlic

250 ml water (or vegetable broth if you prefer)

Salt, pepper, oregano or thyme

½ cup. dry white wine (or lemon juice)

4 tablespoons flour

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

 

Execution:

1. cut the meat into strips or cubes and   flour them.

In a wide saucepan or deep frying pan with lid,

put the oil and sauté the meat pieces.  Add

the onions  the garlic, and the mushrooms and sauté

until softened. Pour the wine (or lemon juice)

2. in warm water (or broth) dissolve the honey, if you choose to use it,

and add  it as well. Lower the heat and Cook

until the meat and mushrooms softened .

 Remove from the heat.


Secrets of success:

For  this dish  we can use not only  mushrooms, but  peppers as well.

If you use them prefer the colored ones (Orange, yellow,red)

 because they are  more sweet  to the taste.
