I was born in a town somewhere in Thrace, where the West meets the East. Where the air fills with the scent of spices and heavy "Turkish coffee" as they said back then.
I remember the Hocha chanting and Muslims kneel where they were to pray, I remember the walks in the square and around the coffee shops that were full of old people mostly men to play backgammon and French Tarot.
I studied business administration in England, worked and grew the best way I could a wonderful daughter and I thought it was about time to do something that I love so much. Cooking a meal is simple, the difficult part is to convince you to close your eyes and feel with all your senses.
My current occupation is to deliver home cooking classes in Greeks and foreigners living in our country, working in some multinational company. I want to give to take with them, when they leave, the smell and taste of Greece forever.
I also do cooking seminars on tourists because our country apart from the ancient civilization, has culinary tradition for some 4000 years now.
Time for us to remember all of that and to spread it from mouth to mouth across the planet.
